North Western part of a room is what Fengshui says. You may also hang them near the statues, archways, the porch, veranda, patio, gazebo, carport, or any place where its likely to chime, PROVIDED, they do not intrude walk way’s or do not Interfere with other natural sounds/musical items.
For Water – there are more specific Fengshui rules. It mainly depends on the facing direction of the house & the year it was completed, its better that you consult a Fengshui practitioner before you place Water lest it brings dire consequences. Normally, South-West and East parts of the room are good.
My suggestion – Live better with Vaastu than Fengshui.

I brought one wind chimes with 4 metal sticks pls advice which postiion is perfect to hang it in Hall.southwest or northwest or north.and also advice me i want to buy fountain so what is location of that and which type of water fall or fountain is better for good wealth.
